| transcriptions of James P. Solos? | |
| Hi all, I have to admit that I am very new to the cyberspace as is, but I happend to run across this site and it seemed interesting. I am trying to find transcriptions (maybe of "Carolina Shout" but anything else really) of James P. solo piano. I am classically trained, but have been working on stride piano lately--have done some Jelly Roll Morton; now I'm looking for repertoire of the Harlem stride school--epecially James P. Johnson. I found a file through this site of "Carolina Shout" that opened in Quick Time and could not figure out how to save it as sheet music. I have Finale 2006 on my computer, so anything that would open in Finale would be greatly appreciated. My e-mail is mirkaji@yahoo.com. Thanks for any help! | |
