The reason why I first wrote the riddle in french is because I'm french, not because the object of the riddle is french. He's not (oops, you know now it's a man, so forget about Mary Lou Williams, Maria Schneider, etc.).

He started on piano but he's known as an arranger, a great one. He worked for Claude Thornhill before trying to develop his own ideas.
