I depends on what skills you have right now, first you should know the basics theory and start to work with it. You have to listen a lot of jazz and try to understand the melody and chord changes (especially standards like: "Tune Up", "Autumn Leaves" etc.). Watch videos on youtube.com recorded by Doug McKenzie (link: http://youtube.com/user/jazz2511 ). If you will watch those videos and try to understand what is he doing, I'm shure you'll be able to play really good and smooth jazz you want.

I need this
I am need of some songs to practice on. I prefer standards but anything that I can listen to and pick up got basics. Can't read music well but I pick up well by ear. If possible a few pointers on what exercises to practices accuracy and speed.

Get obsessed
Aleph: to learn jazz piano (or anything else for that matter) takes a lot of dedication. Listen to jazz. Read about jazz. Priactice, practice, practice. Start by learning to read music well. Learn your cholds so that you don't even have to think about what notes make up an A flat major seventh or a D minot with a a flatted fifth or what a 2-5-1 is. Is it hard work? You bet it is. Bit is it worth it? Are you willing to put in at least an hour a day practicing? Try it and see. Good luck.
