Hi, I read this great book 2 years ago about someone teaching themselves jazz piano.  I think he was in New York or the east coast.  It was written as an essay on learning and how he got the feel of what a pianist thinks about, especially visualizing the sound before striking the note.  Anybody recall it?  I can't find it again at the library, help.  Thanks~!  Judith

I believe the question refers to Piano Lessons: Music, Love and True Adventures, by Noah Adams.
