| I've had a Grey Market Yamaha U1 for about a year and a half, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I recently had an apartment fire, which did enough damage for insurance to buy me a new piano. I'd like to stick with the Yamaha U1 for my replacement piano. I've seen ones advertised dating from 1971, 1978, 1981, and 1986. Was there a golden period for Yamaha U1's? Was there better wood quality in the 70's versus the 80's? Any help will be appreciated. | |

| The Piano World Forum http://www.pianoworld.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi is a great forum to discuss about many things about the piano - music, purchasing, teaching, maintenance, etc. Post a thread or do a search there, I'm sure you'll get alot of info there. | |
