| Ok, quite a while ago I lent a piano student a book of scale studies that he never returned (of course). It was a very old book- late 1800's maybe? If not then, then the 30's or something. The book is oversized and colored a light greenish color, something to calm the mind and spirit when entering into the maddening world of scale study. The thing that tips it off is that the first two pages have quotes from guys like Rachmaninoff and Beethoven about the beauty of playing scales. I would LOVE to get a copy of this book, so if anyone has it or sees one out there, grab it and I'll make it worth your trouble. | |
