| Just thought I would share a reharmonization I worked up for a slow intro to Night in Tunisia. These are just the chords, but the melody fits over it, with a little embellishment thrown in Original Chords: |Eb7 | D- | Eb7 | D- | Eb7 | D- | E-7b5 A7| D-7 | Changed chords: |Ealt | A- |Ealt | A- D7| G-7 C7| F7 Bb7| E-7b5 A7| D-7 | I voice the Ealt (just left hand) as Ab Bb D G I voice the A- as A C E F I believe that in the triplet in the melody, the Db has to be changed to a D sometimes to fit over the chords. I do this as a slow, out-of-time intro, but the chords might work in the middle of the piece as well (but in a band would have to be known by everyone). Sorry I couldn't put together a midi or sheetmusic, but I don't have any midi software or a scanner. | |

| In the case of the Ealt there is a #9 (G) and a b5 (Bb). If you saw that voicing by itself, it would be difficult to define what chord it is, but here since it resolves to an A- it makes sense to say it is an Ealt, and other variations of E alt work as well. | |
