| Hi I am currently getting into Teddy Wilsons playing (thanks to the great Mel Bay book, Swing and Stride Piano). However, when it comes to listening to Teddy I do not know where to start! I have some Billie H. recordings where it sounds like Teddy eg These Foolish Things, The Way You Look Tonight but it does not say on the CD. So any recommendations for solo Teddy and Teddy + Billie would be very gratefully received. It appears that the Teddy Style in terms of technique is a bit more accessible for the average piano player - or is this a foolish assumption??!!! Cheers Bro' | |

| I was supposed to say...more accessible than Tatum or Waller for the average piano player..... | |

| It's well worth checking out Benny Goodman's trio stuff recorded on (I think) the Capitol label. As there is no bass (Clarinet, piano and drums), it's really just as good as listening to Teddy solo. Hope this helps... | |

| Barry That is very helpful. I will order something tonight. Expect more questions on Teddy's technique soon! Bro' | |
