1. Moment's Notice

2. Spain

3. Freddie Freeloader

4. Lazy Bird

5. Take the A Train

Giant Steps sounds fun, but I'm not on that level yet solo-wise.

Any suggestions?

Giant steps is certainly no more difficult to solo on than Moments Notice.

There are a lot of high end players who think Giant Steps is easier to solo on that Moments Notice.  I didn't get it for years, but I get it now :)

Having never studied Giant Steps very intently, I can't really say much about it.

But Moment's Notice is comprised of 2-5's and 2-5-1's in a bunch of different keys (7 or 8 I think). It reminds me of a monster Tune Up in many ways. And it "looks" a lot easier to follow than Giant Steps' "meshed" 2-5-1's or whatever they are called.

Anyways, the question, beyond the generic two (12-bar and rhythm changes):

There are a couple forms/patterns that I really like:
So What/Impressions (see-saw form)
songs with complete/possible "endless" circle of fifths progressions (Autumn Leaves, Take Five, Virtual Insanity, etc.)

Blue In Green
Poinciana
Just Friends
Bouncing With Bud
Over the Rainbow

Some day I will make Giant Steps my project.
But, not anytime soon.

Giant Steps sounds like Mt. Everest to me! lmao

Maybe I'll take a closer look and cut through the it's daunting appearance.

Blue In Green!....where's my head at

I like the general Jelly Roll Morton figures.

Also, I'm Old Fashioned. There's a particular chord in that song that really gets to me, and I can't think of it right now, or where in the song it happens.
