| I bought the Kenny Wheeler album "What Now?" some weeks ago. Great CD. The album has some great playing by John Taylor. I would really like to listen some more to him. I know I has done a trio record on ECM, but do you guys know of some other albums plays on? | |

| Use this link to hear a bit of all the songs on this album by singer Norma Winstone accompanied by John Taylor. http://www.emusic.com/album/10606/10606650.html To my ears, this is wonderfully fresh, original accompaniment to a very interesting singer singing some familiar standards - 'I love you Porgy, Alice in Wonderland, Ladies in Mercedes, COme Sunday, Strange Meadow Lark.... By the way, you can actually download this whole album as part of the free 50 song download from emusic. As others have pointed out, this is quite a genuine offer - they don't 'hound' you if you decide not to subscribe with them and they don't plague you with emails pleading with you to join. And they have a big back catalogue of jazz including most of the Maybeck series. Doug | |

| John Taylor did a series of albums with Peter Erskine under Peter Erskine's name where he's heavily featured. These are all on ECM. There's an album called Rosslyn also on ECM with Marc Johnson and Joey Barron. Various other Kenny Wheeler albums too including Widow in the Window and Music for large and small (or is it small and large ?) Ensembles. If checking out other stuff with Norma Winstone the album 'Somewhere Called Home' is essential plus albums by Azimuth. | |
