It's Summer here in Europe, and most of us is thinking about going away for a holiday. I received some ad emails about cruises, and I discovered there are thems cruises (classical music, gastronomy ...). It didn't take me long to think what a wonderful world it would be if there was a Jazz cruise over the mediterranean sea !! Did someone ever heard of a jazz cruise (whatever the place) ?? and if not, some of you (experimented and pro players) could think about organizing one : the LJP cruise, what a name !!!! think a bit : everyone on the ship visit several countries and each day, while shipping away, lessons for beginners, shows every night, gigs and more gigs !!
aaaachh back to reality, going to work now ;-)))

OK Cynbad,

Thx, and I also found that one : http://www.warrenhillcruise.com/

but both start in the US (Florida) and are "one-year-before-sold-out", and finally, no way to practice during the trip.

Maybe I'm asking  too much ;-))

I keep on dreaming of the LJP Cruise, then ...

My wife and I have been on several cruises. She is forever suggesting another one, but I usually put her off with some comment about needing to save a few bucks, and not wanting to live on cat food in our senior years (which, in fact, we are sort of in). And anyway, we just got back from vacation - -  a week with the London Symphony Orchestra at Daytona Beach. But when Cynbad posted this:

I pointed it out to her, without comment or discussion.

Today I was (pleasantly) shocked to find that she has booked us for the cruise.

You only live once. I'm looking forward to it.

And they say cat food is really pretty nourishing.

Thanks, Cyn.

Well, the FDA mandates that it be "people compatible."  Let us know what you think of the cruise!

Yee-hah!  Ed, you lucky dog!  Or should I say CAT?

Actually, cat food can be more expensive than people food these days!
