| I've used Cakewalk products for recording for a long time. I'd recommend it. I'm not sure what version is $99, though, I use Sonar these days (basically cakewalk version 8, i think). You can't go wrong with cakewalk, though, it will do what you want and there are a lot of plugins available for mastering. | |

| Audacity is really cheap as it is free :) I use it and for my intentions, like recording piano and put other tracks or voice on top it is fine. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ | |
