| hey. I´m wondering about how they set up jazz schools in the homeland of the jazz? here in finland we have different levels in the music schools. Each level have its own demands. Therefore it is easy sometimes to know what to practise, just to look what the demands for the next level is. what i´d like to know is how they set up a jazz piano program in the states. what to practise and how to progress. i find it however difficult to know what to practise so that the practising session is efficient.i have never really followed any practising system myself. I don´t want to spend a lot of time learning nothing. I´m studying to be a piano teacher for pop/jazz students. I would be greatful to get some advice on how to set up a studying plan for my students in the future. At this time, mainly for myself. | |
