| Wow. I just listened to Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz on CD, with headphones (which I've never done before) and realized that the duets are recorded in stereo with Marian on the left channel and her guests on the right. It really helps clarify things in terms of who's doing what. Are all piano duos recorded this way? Are all duos in general? | |

| Update: I just listened to the Mary Lou Williams/Cecil Taylor duet album. It's hillarious. | |

| Feast your ears to CONVERSATIONS WITH MYSELF where BILL stacks 3 mind you 3 tracks upon another And also FURTHER CONVERSATIONS WITH MYSELF 2 tracks I think this album would be great toi transcribe from as both tracks are isolated. virtually | |

| I think this album would be great toi transcribe from as both tracks are isolated "Blue Monk" from "Conversations with Myself" is an easier one to try to transcribe -- Bill really gets some momentum going with some of those 16th-note lines. At least I had a lot of fun transcribing that one. | |
