aside of bill evans, you do you think was miles best pianist? i say herbie hancock and wynton kelley.

wow you are really going out on a limb there.  But are you aware that just about everyone served as a sideman to Miles on one date or another...Chick Corea for example, Monk, name a major pianist he probally was a sideman to Miles for at least one session.   Also you did not limit your choices to piano players... what about Coltrane?

It's amazing the kind of musicians Miles was able to find.  I just recently found out that Branford Marsalis, John Scofield, George Duke, Stanley Jordan, and Joey DeFrancesco all played with Miles in the 80's.

And not that they were sidemen, but he also recorded with Quincy Jones and Prince.
