Hi to everyone !! Is there any place where i can find wich are the famous errors that have the Real Book 1 ?? Thanks in advance. Erick

What are you looking for? Famous errors that have what? Not trying to be rude, but that sentence doesn't make any sense at all no matter how many times I look at it. I have the "new old" The Real Book (6th ed.) by Hal Leonard publishing, it's a legit version of the famous Real Book that has been around for years. It looks the same and has most of the same songs, but not all. The chord changes are much more accurate, but some of the arrangements are kinda messed up.

In addition to the differences mentioned at the wiki site I've discovered that the arrangement for "Afro Blue" is completely different between the the two books. Also the tune "Bluesette" has an extended 2nd ending that isn't in the first book. I discovered both of these at jam sessions where I was left scratching my head trying to figure out what the heck the rest of the band was doing.

God, the "Real Book" errors.  I don't even know if the list can have a terminus -- I'm amazed at the number of 50-year-old professional musicians (and I'm talking about people who can *play*, no shucking and jiving) who still carry this crap around with them. Any native speaker of English should be able to understand the original post, though -- there's some noun/verb inversion, but it seems a bit hysterical to claim it's incomprehensible.  I've seen a metric ton of native English speakers who can't (or won't) do any better when writing (or speaking!).  I think Spider deserves some credit for getting his point across.

Thanks to everyone... Jwvz6: Take it easy man. I'm not a native english speaker but i do my effort to learn. Maybe the correct sentence was something like "Is there any place where i can find wich are the famous errors that this Real Book has?? Jazz+: Yes, I know about Google but i tried and found nothing. Well the problem is the Real Book has become such a standard source at gigs for so many years... even commited to memory by so many that if you learn the correct changes you still have to know the incorrect ones because at least half the time you will be playing with ensembles that will be playing the inccorrect ones even if they are playing from memory.
