| Yesterday I came across a program called Ninjam, it is absolutely amazing! Basically, what it does is allow you to jam with other musicians over the internet. I believe we had a program like that a few years back on the forums here, but it only used midi, and never seemed to work right. Anyways...this program uses audio rather than midi. I was on last night jamming with some really good musicians. Since it actually uses audio instead of midi, you have the ability to use any instrument that you want. Last night there was a bassist and 2 guitarists, and some drum loops going, and me on keys. You can even have a vocalist or horn player if you want. This program could also be very useful for giving pointers online about someones playing. I encourage all of you to try it out, its a free open source program. http://www.ninjam.com/ | |

| that is awesome. Haven't tried it yet but i had such an idea of a program couple of month ago :D. Can you tell me plz how i use an instrument with the program ? Do i have to use a mic and my piano or do i have to use a midi-keyboard or such thing ?! | |

| In order to use an instrument you must be able to hook it into your computers sound card. So you can use a keyboard, or a horn if you mic it. If you want to use your piano, you will have to mic it somehow, even if it is just with your computer mic. | |

| I tried it, but the noise coming out was just annoying static with a hint of what might have been music. I'm on a fast broadband connection, but nothing I did cleared up the noise. Looks like it should work, but maybe not for me. | |

| Could be your soundcard...or maybe the other person had a dirty signal. | |

| I have a high end system, and all the incoming sound was static. I'll check again and play with sound device. I'm using ASIO devices now, maybe I should try using WDM or built in windows drivers. | |
