| I love much of Hank Williams stuff and I would like to play some of his songs when I play in a restaurant / hotel / bar. I am on the verge of seeking some part-time piano work and I am trying to add some more songs to my repetoire of jazz standards/pop. I think Hank composed some beutiful melodies but I am wondering if anyone has any tips on giving the harmonies some more colour? Things like Cold, Cold Heart; I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry; Your Cheatin' Heart and Crazy Heart seem very strong melodically but for solo piano a bit boring if played (by me anyway) using the original chords. Any ideas (Dalty?) Cheers Bro' | |

| I would suggest checking out Nora Jones' version of Cold Cold Heart on her first album. It's pretty jazzy. Might give you a starting point. | |

| Good idea. I have that album and play a few songs from it. By the way she has recorded a duet of Your Cheatin' Heart with Jerry Lee Lewis for a forthcoming TV special/DVD. Bro' | |
