Not sure which J you mean garry but if me thx for asking but pulled it down since it seemed unfair to keep relying on the one or two people like yourself who input things round here - you must be pretty well stretched!

As a side note, a few of the keys players here would love to hear how 'you' are doing :-) are you ready enough in your transfer from the melody instruments to keys to submit one of your compositions in midi? By the way you talk about music it would be a good thing for sure.

Btw your tip about ending some line on one of those tension notes is a great one but takes a lot of working out and trial and error! Accidentally found out what you meant the other day and yep it sounds cool but that's only when 'you get in the groove' :-)

If it was this J you mean it was still ropey anyway (the reworking) and was just boring latin / fusion / rnb mix that still needed some practicing so pulled it since it obviously wasn't jazz since no-one  commented.

And there i was working out cool things to do on the keys and trying to take advice on how to make those sounds combined with experimentation and jamming the midi to a framework worked out beforehand thinking it may have been in the spirit of the cool keys player.

I'm sure more than a few of us would love to hear you play a melody instrument too, do you have mp3's or anything online? Do you need help setting up a site or anything like that or some technical advice? Give me a shout if you do.

Keys players seem really quiet, i'm dying to see how a melody instrument player takes to the keys!

J,

I listened to your thing and liked it, but there wasn't much more to say.

You got your bass chops under control and are grooving and the whole thing felt "right".

Is that the info you wanted to hear? It's all true, but to  write that in a review sounds kinda stupid to me.

I don't understand why you would take away a nice midi like that.
