| There are several efficient ways to finger most of the bebop scales. 1234, 1234 works well for the C, D , E, F, G, and A bebop scales It can also work for Bb, Eb and Ab if you put your thumb on the white keys (obviously not on the roots or 5ths of the scales). It is a 1234 type grouping but starts on a different finger: 2, 1234, 1234 Bb major bebop thus can be best played as 2, 1234, 1234 or the alternative 2, 123, 12, 123 (smaler groupings with more thumb unders) | |

| Bb major bebop thus can be best played as 2, 1234, 1234 Do you mean: 2 1 2 3 4 1 2 3 4 Bb C D Eb F F# G A Bb ? The thumb on the F# seems odd, but I like your use of the word "thus". | |

| Good catch, I mistyped. Bb Maj major bebop scale with 1234 12234 finger groupings should have the thumb on the D and the G. Thus I should have typed Descending the Bb major bebop scale: 321, 4321, 4321, erc Ascending: 23, 1234, 1234 | |
