| Just wanted to post this- I went to send a private message and was amazed at the huge number of people that have registered......posting/contributing here is really the equivalent of playing a gig at some place like a football stadium in terms of the people that "hear" what you do!!! | |

| Tons of people, eh? That's why I changed how private messages worked- it was taking some time, even on my cable connection, to get all the names in the drop down box! What do we have now, 4200 registered users in two or so months? | |

| Really we have here in LJP the greatest school of music around the world. I'm having here a fabulous pedagogic experience teaching music to thousands of pupils around the world from my private study. Is I said in an old forum, "this is a great Scot's contribution to jazz world". | |

| Yup, I agree that this is the best place there is concerning jazz! It's very informative, it houses very knowledgable people who are very kind and helpful as well, we get lessons that are explained in a way that the average person can follow, and more! If not for this site, I would still be blindly just experimenting on my own without much success. This site enables people interested in jazz, but not living in a place where it is widely taught, actually learn something useful. Great site, I hope that it gets the status it deserves worldwide=) Maybe it's time it got featured on a magazine if it hasn't been yet. | |

| Just look at it like this-would person X somewhere in the middle of nowhere who logs on re-wanting to start playing jazz piano be positely or negatively impacted by what we post? It's a little like having some new people over along with your usual guests-you know the regulars are into the dip but will the new ones dig it?So you put some alternatives out...... | |

| I just wanted to put in my two cents that this site has really helped me get started. I had played jazz trombone back in high school, and was an excellent classical pianist then. I could just kick myself that I didn't make use of the resources I had at the time to learn jazz piano. I just got a real piano 8 months ago (instead of a cheap keyboard) and I had been trying to figure out jazz piano on my own for two months before I came across this site. Its hard to say exactly what I have gotten from this site, as a lot of what I have learned has been from other stuff. There was just something about listening to other people talk about jazz piano that was very inspiring. One of the things that improved my playing the most was to invest in a lot more jazz CDs and to listen to them whenever I was in the car. Listening to people here also helped me set some goals for myself and really increase my practice time. Thanks Scot, its a great site. | |
