| Ok, some of the older users here know I'm in the middle of doing some major updates to this site. They won't be ready for a little longer, but one of the things I'm doing is trying to find a viable chat option. So here's a link to a possible LJP chat room. Give it a shot, let me know if it works: http://www.userplane.com/chatlite/run/chat.cfm?app_str=ch&domainID=1dd3afe5a957c1f0e25f5f0502dd8930&RoomSelection=174902 | |

| Sorry for the long URL, nothing can be done about it. | |

| I clicked on the link but was told that the session had expired. Still, I had a bit of a poke around the site and had a look at some of the other rooms - it looks pretty cool, I'm sure it would do us nicely for our LJP chat. | |

| It looks like it could work. I had to search for LJP after logging in as a guest but that was easy. No one there but I said a couple of inane things anyway. | |

| Can anyone find a direct link to LJP chat area? I guess the link I put up there was a session link. | |

| Ok, this might be a link: http://www.userplane.com/chatlite/directory/browse.cfm?name=Search+Results%3A&search=learnjazzpiano# You still have to log in or create a username. There are integration packages but I don't have time to pour through them right now. | |

| I used the link and went to the userplane page. I signed in as a guest and left a message. The only thing I got was a pop up telling me that I'd won a free plasma tv. I guess it could work. Kai | |

| One must to search community "learnjazzpiano" and then login with nickname. Click on "chat" button. I was trying to chat there, but nobody was in session. | |

| Sure, Scot, that last link is the right one. We need only to login with nickname. Please put it in the head as "Chat"... The actual "Chat" does not work right. Good look. | |
| Scot -- 01/16/2007, 11:15:36 -- #32382 | |
| What do you mean? | |
| albetan -- 01/16/2007, 11:50:49 -- #32382 | |
| What do i mean? I was trying the Frappr Chat and it did'nt work... Now i see thie message: We are updating our service | |
| Barry -- 01/16/2007, 17:54:25 -- #32382 | |
| I think alberto is clicking the 'chat' link at the top of the page rather than the one you listed in your post Scot... | |
| albetan -- 01/17/2007, 06:06:34 -- #32382 | |
| That's right, Barry. | |

| How about a chat schedule, so loggin' into the chat is not on a trial and error basis to have someone online to chat with? | |
| Scot -- 01/17/2007, 14:19:07 -- #32382 | |
| Yeah, the frapr chat doesn't work so I'm looking for other options and userplane seems nice. But what I really want is a flash chat option where a username is automatically sent so when you click a link here for "chat" it sends a username so you don't have to log in. But most of these places want you make an account for that kind of thing, so sending guests over with pre-determined user names isn't really working out. | |
