| Dear Auntie, It's my great ambition to become a lounge singer, but my father owns a coal mine. Ever since I was little he's been giving me the business piece by piece. Recently I've been playing with "Caulk" who is a tasty young pianist, even though he's a miner. After he goes down to work, I sit on his shaft waiting for him to come. Sometimes he's in the tunnel all day and all night long. I've had "Caulk" up in my room lots of times, but if my dad ever found out about it he'd sure give me a licking! My question is this: Should I keep giving in to my father or should I hole up with the pianist? Coal Miner's Daughter PS: As a birthday surprise, I want to lower a piano into the mineshaft. Is that a good idea? | |

| Dear Coal Miner's Daughter What are you complaining about? Either way you get the shaft!! You can have anything you want and refuse anything you don't want unless your IQ is in the one digit. Auntie hopeth not! Sounds like you have the best of both worlds to me, but then I never had any boundaries and don't understand them. That Caulk sounds wonderful and yes I would sit on that shaft continually. I however, wouldn't wait for him to come.I would see to it that it happened--- whenever I wanted it to happen. Remember he always wants it!!!!Believe me, he will love you for it. Lowering the piano would be a wonderful surprise, but have Caulk take care of it as that coal dust could ruin it. I am sure that Caulk has perfect fingering and I hope he will teach it to you as you could fill up his passage just as he fills yours and I hope he has some balls that chime so that he could teach you the proper instruments to use in the end--- and some licks and more-- to do with those balls just before the crescendo. That Caulk would love that. What Pianist wouldn't? There is no cir-cum-stance that you can't have just the way you want it. If it feels good do it--If not--take control. The woman always has it---she sometimes throws it away because she doesn't understand her power!! What a shame!! I have a miner of my own waiting for me as we speak--that visual of the shaft has really got Auntie going.Get back on that shaft and love every moment!!! There is nothing more wonderful---Nothing!!!For him and for you!! Ta Ta from Auntie | |

| PS: Isn't Caulk actually the famous appalachian child prodigy Phil McCrackin? | |
| Beverly Redding -- 04/10/2004, 20:14:42 -- #3440 | |
| Yes, you brilliant one!! Probably only two or three people in the world would have figured that out!!! Kudos!!! He had previously been playing with a chantuese named "Kipa Cummins". He just slips in and out everywhere. A pianist of his measure needs exposure in the light of day. I wish he'd come outside that mineshaft. Auntie hates coal dust!! Hugs, Auntie | |

| Dear Auntie--Phil McCrackin sure has an unusual name. Caulk is that stuff I put in cracks with my gun. Gets hard real fast. How did an Irish or Scottish guy wind up in the Appalachian mountains? Think of the piano movers trying to get that sucker up there.Maybe the piano movers and the piano were covered with snow and some dumbunny photographed them and called it the "Yetty".Just snow covered pianists. Oh well, so much for my shriveled up idea!!! | |

| I really like Caulk's playing, but when he performs he makes noises like a sealant. | |

| Dear Auntie, Talk about petty faultfinding!!! You obviously don't love Caulk as much as I do. He has always been attracted to marine life. I'm sure he doesn't do it on porpoise!! I do wish he'd come out of that mineshaft more often, I would go down as often as he wanted me to. Hasn't asked me yet. He is the best pianist ever. Just like I said"some of us love Caulk more than others". I am one of them!! So--- he gets very vocal in performance,I find that exciting. So what if he sounds like a sealant.Nothing worse than showing no thrill while performing. Anyway, he has the ability to overcome.A trait I look for in men.I have helped a lot of pianists overcome--but better when it comes natural for them. Auntie loves men with spunk!!! | |
