| I don't know, but the playing doesn't sound like Bill Evans; the approach, touch, and voicings don't sound like Bill. It sounds like two pianos, too. | |

| yes Rapid Share is certainly quite the opposite.. hmmm despite my ridiculously large collection of Bill Evan's I have never heard this tune before. I'm guessing its from "conversations with myself" the one album I don't have in which I here he overlays different tracks giving it the two pianos effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conversations_With_Myself). | |

| It's not from "Conversations With Myself" -- neither from the Piano Jazz duet with Marian McPartland. Absolutely two pianos, for sure. I have most, but not all of Evans's albums, and I've never heard this tune before. One I don't have is the "Further Conversations With Myself" album -- I've been holding off until I finish transcribing the stuff from the first Conversations album (which means I may never get around to hearing the "sequel," unfortunately). If it's not Bill Evans, it's someone doing a pretty good imitation of his bag of tricks, at any rate. | |

| The more I listen to it, the more I feel like a fool for actually thinking that's one piano and Bill Evans playing. You're right, it's clearly not him, and it's definitely two pianos. Just goes to show you the power of the mind when it wants to believe something is true =D. In any case, it's still a beautiful song and wonderful players, and I would love very much to be able to identify it as well as who is playing it, and download the entire song. The problem of not knowing what a song is, is that it's virtually impossible to actually reasearch it. I mean, it's not like you can search for musical notes on google. That's what makes it so darn frustrating. Thanks again guys and I hope someone here will be able to identify it. | |

| I'm almost certain it's Marian McPartland playing but it's not off the Piano Jazz CD Bill did with her. He did appear in a duo with her back in the 1970s at the Montery Jazz Festival and they performed one her tunes called "Afterglow". So that could be the piece. Problem is I haven't herad that piece for years so I can't be certain. But I'm pretty well convinced Marian McPartland is playing. I know one thing for certain it is not off the 'conversations', 'further conversations' or 'new conversations' that Bill recorded. | |
