| And you have to join that site to cast a meaningless vote. | |

| Every player should be able to say at some point: "There is stuff I do that I KNOW no one else does.".. And for that brief moment you will think YOU are best. I do | |

| The scorekeeper for this vote is my friend.. We of course are aware of the fact that there may never be something like a best jazz pianist. But we decided to do the vote just to know who's popular among people's hearts nowadays.. nothing more. Just like winning a grammy for best vocalist doesn't actually mean you ARE the BEST vocalist. We are also aware that many great pianists are left out from the list..but there are just so many.. so anyone is welcomed to add anyone to this list anytime.. | |

| I created the lens. I was trying to find information about great jazz pianists. And it is all scatter everywhere. So I try to do a compilation by making this lens. The purpose I created it is to have a page that include all the best jazz pianist of all time. The thread will only be strong if every jazz lover contribute to vote for their favourite. I will include those pianist in the list added. | |

| I get tired of Peterson after about three minutes. I am unmoved by his renditions, his speed of execution is only matched by the banality of his ideas. There is a differencre between speed and haste, check out Bud Powell with his inspired phrasing and the sound of his instrument being played to its full technical potential. | |
