Hi all, i'm working o a Bill Evans fake book of Elsa, and there is a symbol that i don't know what means: http://www.geocities.com/pc-jlopez/fake.gif is the (2) over the bars 3 and 4 of the image, i don't know the symbol over the melody either. any one can explain me what should i play there ? thx in advance.

It means to repeat the previous two bars. The reason it's in brackets is because usually only the "percentage" % symbol crossing the two empty bars is needed.
