Hi Charlie,

Jeru is a Miles Davis tune. Changes are pretty easy, I think they go like this:

Eb | % | % | Db7
Eb C7 | Fm D7 | Eb | Fm F#dim7
Bbm | Eb7 | Ab | %
Abm | Db7 | Gb | Fm7 Bb7
Eb | % | % | Db7
Eb C7 | Fm D7 | Eb | Fm F#dim7

I don't know the changes off hand for The Real Thing, but I see it here on a Mulligan CD called "Dream a Little Dream"

Dear Scot , thanks for the post; I may be wrong but I thought JERU was written by Mulligan?? the real thing is a beautiful ballad Have you heard it? written by jeru and torme

I've heard The Real Thing, very nice tune. I could be wrong about Jeru, but for some reason I have it in my mind that it's a Miles tune.

Little digging around on the web and I think charlp88 is right - Jeru was written by Jeru.  Miles gave him the nickname though.  That count?  Looks like Miles may have recorded it more then Mulligan.

Hey Guys this a great link. on an album with Torme Mulligan and Shearing, Maybe Torme and Friends? there is a version of JERU with words by Jeru which swings greatly. I also Like Line For Lyons  wow
