There are not many tunes where I will do it, but Danny Boy is one where I will make up the changes as I go on. OK its a simple arrangement but its fun to experiment with diatonic chords in C and see what happens - rarely sounds bad. Can throw in a little gospel in the left hand, some blues, country pedal licks - I am having FUN with that tune! Bro'

Hi Charlp88, I had a play through those changes when I came home that evening; very nice actually. And like Brotherdavies, I had a bit of a play around myself with some different chords. I played it for my grandad at the weekend and he liked it too. thanks, g
