In the following song, Seth reads off and sings from a shampoo bottle while improvising a song out of it on the piano:

Seth plays and sings Sigmund Rombergs hit of the 1930's, "When I Grow Too Old To Dream," with the hopes of further demonstrating how he improvises from lead sheets/fake books. Hot Jazz Stride Piano ensues.

Tells how Seth improvises:

Seth plays and sings this great old Duke Ellington tune, and includes the (not frequently heard) intro verse - which changes the tune's usually happy attitude to something a little bit darker. Hot Jazz Stride Piano antics ensue.

Seth plays and sings Fats Waller's awesome tune, "Ain't Misbehavin'," starting with a pseudo-tribute to Willie "The Lion" Smith's Library of Congress recording before busting into a Fats-ish mode on the second chorus. Hot Jazz Stride Piano antics ensue.

Seth plays and sings an ancient tune he wrote from the era before he lost his gig bag. And if none of this makes any sense, it's because either: A. You haven't been paying attention or (more likely) B. Seth was drunk while he recorded this. Enjoy! (more)

Seth improvises a tune in Cm. Hot Jazz Stride Piano antics ensue (with a little bit of the ole "Willie 'The Lion' Smith" "Pork And Beans" sloppiness and insanity thrown in for good measure).

Seth improvises a tune in Bb. Hot Jazz Stride Piano antics ensue. (more)

Here's some more:

Seth plays a pretty fast (and very sloppy) rendition of Cole Porter's "It Was Just One of Those Things." Hot Jazz Stride Piano antics ensue (sloppily), and Seth realizes that his piano is out of tune.

Seth plays and "sings" his rendition of this venerable old Gershwin standby. Comments on this tune have been disabled due to my own awareness of tempo problems. Cheers! (more)
