| Im playing on a show at the moment and all of the sounds im using are generated on a computer using giga studios and a roland fantom sound module. The midi controller im using is a roland A90, while its great at what it does in terms of a midi controller, it is out of date. Does anyone know what replaced the A90 or even better what is the best midi controller out there today? I was thinking about buying a Nord Stage 88 for the sound quality, but is it any good as a controller? What is the best midi controller if money is no object?!?! Thanks Jazz | |

| Any keyboard with a nice touch/action should do the job. 128 bits of polyphonyics and good input/output ports. The tone module carries the sound. | |

| I've heard good things about Doepfer LMK2+ or LMK4. They're super expensive, super tank quality built. They also have a basic 1 channel only piano controller version of it, that's a little smaller. But if you need good main keyboard features, LMK4 is probably best. It's strange, those that have it say they've never felt anything better. I wanted a LMK2+ for a long time, and researched it quite a bit. They use fatar keys, which is a turn off for many people, since they're keys are known for instability. Either way, the LMK series is super expensive, so you'd want to check it out first. Only catch is, you'd have to be close to pomona CA if your'e in the US since theyr'e the only US vendor. Worth checking out if you're a drive away tho. Heard really amazing things about LMK series. | |

| I'd be skeptical of anything nord. They may have changed it for Stage, but my Electro's midi controller capability is so limited, it's pointless to even complain about it. BTW, Stage uses fatar keys too. | |
