Option 1:

The Alesis has those Qcards that you can put in to give more sounds.

They cost about $200 US (but in my opinion they aren't worth it).

Even the best Alesis Qcard piano sounds aren't up to my performance standards (unless they've come out with something new recently).

Option 2:
Get an outboard midi module. I reccommend Kurzweil, Korg Triton, and on the economical end Roland's JV1010.

Any of these modules cost lots more than a Qcard, but you'll still be able to use the module and its sounds when you finally upgrade to an 88-key controller (eventually you'll feel constrained by your 76-key QS7).

Option 3:
Trade in your QS7 for a down payment towards a better 88-key board  that maybe has the great piano sounds you've been looking for.

i was really looking for people who have a Alesis QS7 who can give me some insight into what kind of effects i can use to bring out the piano sounds on my board.i like the Alesis for the other sounds that it also have so there is some  pros and cons to every board.

I am quite familiar with the onboard Alesis sounds.

Their piano sounds are deficient in the modern world.

You cannot "fix" the sounds to make them better any more than you can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

My humble opinion of course.

This is what gave me the idea that you were trying to fix the sounds in the Alesis:

"I would like to know if someone could help me bring out the piano sounds [on the Alesis] with some of the effects or whatever"

*

When I worked in the keyboard department at Guitar Center, we sold more Alesis keyboards than any other model.

We were obliged to go to heavy all-day training sessions on the Alesis and I had to learn the board inside out.

I DO know the Alesis boards.

Like you, I was initially enamoured of the Alesis. It wasn't until I had been playing the Alesis for some time that the warts and pimples began to become evident.

One day I was raving about the Alesis and told one of my fellow salesmen  that I was thinking of getting one.

He introduced this reality check by saying "If you think it's so great, why don't any of the big time pros use them? Take a look at any band that's on TV or video. You'll see plenty of Korgs, Yamahas  and Rolands on stage BUT NEVER AN ALESIS! And you know why?"

Believe it or not, my responses were meant to be helpful.
