anyone is playing a Harmonica?? I've started a about 2 months ago and I can say it' great!

A diatonic Harp is one of the smallest instruments, you can take it anywhere with you, it's really good when there's no piano and you want to play some music; what's more: it's quite cheap (at least the diatonic harp) so that anyone can afford it.

I recommend playing a diatonic Harp to everyone, especially to those who love the Blues :)

Yeah, I do a little harp now and then and I love it, but I don't get a lot of playing time with it because our drummer absolutely blows me out of the water on harmonica (sob) so I guess it practice practice and practice for now.  I DO like how much harder it is to hit wrong notes though ;)

Blues Harp was my first instrument.  Then I realized I had to learn Chromatic harp to play all the tunes I really wanted to learn.  So I bought a Chromatic harp.  Chromatic harp was so hard to learn by comparison I said "screw this"  I might as well learn piano.  So I am a piano player.....
well something like that, so the story goes.

yes, piano is certainly better than harp, but it's nice to have this small thing in a pocket, then you can play in a train (for example) :)

that is if you can remain content with Blues harp, which is pretty hard to do.  That would be like being content with a piano that had all the white notes broken beyond repair, and you could only play songs that would work with just the black notes.

ew,  I dont know,  That could also be blues hell.  Ever play in
blues band and you are going thru that stage where every gig there
is one harp player or another trying to sit in.  One out of a thousand
is good, plays like little Walter, kicks ass and makes the night.  The
other 999 for one reason or another you are in Blues Hell.  Like the
night you finally have found your grove on Mess Around, your left hand is kickin that boogie bass line in perfect sync with the Bass Player,
your solo is flying...The guitar player is completely into it and is
egging you on to take extra choruses... So you start a third chorus
when all of a sudden this loud shrill noise cuts into you and destoys
the whole thing, you fall from the sky and land in a barbeque pit,
Blues Hell that is where everyone is a blues harp player.  You are rolling around in the flames... You are on fire... you need help
finally some fire men show up to help put on the fire but they are
all playing harp as they carry the hoses.  You shout out  "not
during my solo!!!"   You say to yourself..
"Damn I was in heaven.. What happened?"  The sax player let some
dumb #$%&*@ harp player sit in and the $^*&@# thought it would be
cool to start playing in the middle of your solo.  Thats how it happened.  Thats how in a matter of seconds  you were moved from
Blues heaven to Blues Hell.

still better than the chick singer who sits in...

Mike, you're not quite right!
of course there are many (too much) Harp players that are too self confident and know nothing about playing a good music, but I know many musicians that you would certainly love to play with. They can make  an amazing solo, but they can also sit quiet. And they know when they should or shouldn't play. I wish you'll meet such a player once.

The Devil was revealed in the Mel Gibson movie "Passion" as a Chick.
Did you see she was singing and there was a harp hanging out of her top pocket?
