| The changes to Pentup house can be thought of as basically the same as the bridge to half the bridge to I've got Rhythm, making it similar to all Rhythm tunes. Its movment is ii v I in G with a tritone sub for the v chord. The same as the ii v starting out the Rhythm bridge. The difference being Pent up house actually goes to the one chord and then repeats the same ii v i before doing the same modulation as the Rhythm Bridge... a v of v or down a fifth if you like. | |

| Thanks, but I don't consider being the same for only two bars out of sixteen close enough to be considered the same or similar. V of V in the key of G is A7, which is not in Pent Up House. V of V in Bb is C7. Pent Up House does not modulate like the bridge of Rhythm Changes. | Here are some tunes that have the same chord sequence as Pent Up House for the first 8 bars: Perdido, I Love You, I Wish You Love, It's You Or No One, I've Got You Under My Skin, Strangers In Paradise, Tangerine, Tea For Two, What A Difference A Day Makes, Baubles Bangles And Beads, Fools Rush In But none of them take the same direction that Pent Up House does in bar 9. I would say that there are no tunes that use the exact chord progression as Pent Up House. first 8 bars: | ii | V7 | I | | | ii | V7 | I | | or with a turn-around every fourth bar: | ii | V7 | I | (VI) | busier turnaround: | ii | V7 | I (IV | iii VI)| | |
