Anyone got the Lead Sheet or chord changes to this ? I've listened to it for years by Hampton Hawes & Charlie Haden on the album of the same name but I cant seem to find the tune in any fake book or anywhere.

Cheers !

Sheetmusicplus.com has a Jule Styne songbook for $17.95. The song is apparently not included in any of the fake books.  It's also not listed on iTunes - and I don't think you can transcribe the melody from the Hawes/Haden version.
Have you ever played "Rain Forest" (on the same LP)? It makes a good solo piece.

If you want to buy that online, click on the "search books" link above so LJP gets a piece of the action :)

Hi Alhaynes - I think the melody is not that difficult but I cant work out the underlying chord structure. As for "RainForest" yes that is a beautiful piece ... but its beyond me to work it out - did you work it out by ear ??

Yes, I did it by ear. Of course, I used a little "musical license" as to the exact notes ! I did change the key - I played it first in E which gave a much fresher sound on the opening chords. Lately I've been playing it in G.

Any chance of you putting up a midi of you playing it on here ?

I'll record a quick version sometime (maybe next week). I'm stuck on "lush life" right now ! I'll post it somewhere (maybe on my site) and let you know where to find it.
