| I frequently use: |C |A7b9 |Dm11 |G13 |E9 |A7b9 |Dm11 |Db7b5 | |C |Bm9 |Em11 Am9|Dm11 Db7b5|C C#dim | |Dm11 Em9 |Fm6 F#dim |G7sus4 C| For improvisation practise... also I transpose it to my favorite keys... allthough I probably should practise in all keys, I usually concentrate on the keys I like to sing in and I like the sound of, and that is: C F G A E Eb and Bb Have Fun! | I love the Cherokee progression. I like to cycle through all 12 keys, over and over and over again. I also setting up grooves on the "George Benson" progression: ||: Cm7 | Bbm7 Eb7 | AbM7 | G7 :|| Or start it with CM7 Like latin jamming on: ||: Cm7 | Cm7 | C7b9 | C7b9 | Fm7 | Bb7 | EbM7 | AbM7 | D7 | G7 | Cm7 | G7 :|| You can do that one but do an AABA form where the George Benson progrssion is the A section and that last progression is the B section. | |
