that sounds like a great idea scot. i do wish that there were more people with your 'can do' attitude. many musicians i know are so cynical and jaded that it's a breath of fresh air to hear people talking about things that they think they can make happen.

one of my favourite things about this site is the obvious enthusiasm that people display and i suspect the anonimity of the net allows them to be less guarded than they would be when talking to other musos in their area.

i also still think there is value in something that's on paper. i know that i personally am still more inclined to read an article on the page than i am on the screen. somehow it still seems more 'real' to me and i think that you may find it easier to get people to advertise in a paper publication.

personally, i would love to contribute to the newsletter and will be happy to help in any way i can. one idea that crossed my mind was to take one reader's request each issue and write an article specifically dealing with that topic in detail. i think it's important to try and keep your readers involved because i think the inclusive nature of this site has helped to make it such a success and the same would apply to you newsletter. another idea that would tie in with the site is to have a monthly standard article. it would differ from what happens here because the article could contain specific instructions for things to try and examples - kind of like you did with the start of softly or beautiful love in the lesson pages.

i'll let you know of any more ideas as they crop up but i think it's a great idea and i look forward to seeing how it evolves.
