there's a museaum here in bellingham that has one of the best pianos i've ever played- a steinway that is close to 8', but i don't know the model. i just know i like it.

the room only cost $75 for an evening, so i figure i could host little concerts there. pay my guys to play, pay for the room, then have a donation jar at the door.  if i had cd's, i would subsidize the concert.

but to make a cd that i want to make, i have to hire guys that are going to cost big bucks, pay for rehearsals, pay for recording, pay for art, pay for mastering, pay for duplication, find distrubution, etc etc etc.

just writing that sentence took more effort than i want to put into a project like that :)

my next concert, by the way, is going to be a jazz review of 007. i have most of the charts already as i used to play that music overseas.  we're also going to hire a video guy to create a "spy montage" to be playing on the screen behind the stage.  probably do this concert in late april or something.
