the whole point of this system was to be able to use roman numeral indicators for the chord symbols.

so it would be against the goals of the system to use a letter for the chord symbol (ex: c/2).

as far as a debate over the current tonality is concerned "the key of the moment or what exactly is the one chord at that point in the tune", i thought that i clearly covered that in my "giant steps" example.

we simply write the current tonality over the juncture point (which could also be roman numerals in relation to the "main tonality").
