i am in love with this song. i have a domenican friend that sent it to me, and from what i hear, it is a very popular one in hispanic culture, though i never heard it before today. i love the way the melody's flow, and the guys voice is so beautiful. i'm going to make it a goal to transcribe the chords, and maybe try to make a piano arrangement of it. either way, it definitely deserves a listen

i often get that request at solo gigs. good tune to know and there are a lot of ways to be creative with it. i first heard it on dexter gordon's "american classics" album.
proace,

do me a favor and pick up michel petrucciani au theatre des champs elysees. he plays besame mucho in his last "encore" tune.
the rest of the cd and in particular the 1st medley may be the best solo piano you'll ever hear.
