whacky,

so how did you get interested in the  whistling language of the island of la gomera?

yes, that was covered in the interview. but it remains to be seen (heard) if that made it through the edit.

one part of the story was left out though: the part about these two incredibly beautiful hottie sisters (aged 18 & 19) who were the ones that convinced me to travel with them to the island of la gomera, and how i did them both in tandem in a tent one sultry night in morocco. you have no idea how many times i have re-lived that night over and over in my mind. reality is soooo much better than fantasy.

is it still being used today?  if so, how many people still use it?

yes, that was covered.

do you give lessons?  if so, how many students do you have?

nope. none.

do you find it helps you pick up chicks? if so, can it enhance your sex life with said babes?

whether or not it will help to pick up chicks remains to be seen. however, by using the whistling language one could communicate a lot more suggestive (or downright filthy) things to the girl than the mere "weet-woo" of the wolf whistle.

sid,

the "listen again" feature can be accessed online anywhere in the world for a week after the broadcast.

the bbc will be sending me a copy on cd, which i will turn into an mp3 and then post prominently on the https://silbo-gomero.com website.
