hola jazzfreeks, on sunday, jan 30th, i'll be returning to iridium, on 51st. and broadway. i'll be doing a solo concert plus a master class on the great erroll garner from 5:30 - 7 :15 pm. this will be big fun, the bread is $15 cover and $10 food + bev. your support would be *greatly* appreciated for what should be a slammin eve:)  

thanx to all who participated in our great walking bassline clinic in december. this comprehensive class will be up on youtube within a week or so for all to devour. i'm very excited to share this with you. classes are presently available for free anytime viewing on youtube (dave mckenna, the marx bros., bill evans), and ustream (eric dolphy, charlie parker, bruce hornsby, keith jarrett, and frank zappa.)

finally, i'm really excited to tell you that my wife hari and i will be opening a yoga/jazz center, tentatively named hari hari yoga, in late january in the heart of nyc, at 30th st. and 7th ave., right near penn station. hari will be offering her fantastic yoga/meditation classes daily, and i'll be playing solo every friday night on a spectacular 7'4 yamaha grand. more info to come, i hope you can join us for some the best life has to offer:)

sounds interesting ! relaxing and listening to jazz music in a same place i definitely want to try that when in nyc at the beg of march. keep us informed dave, and i hope to meet you this time. cheers. jm.
