hi musicfreeks, join me this sunday, jan. 30th for a swingin' winter evening at iridium, 51st and broadway, from 5:30 -7 :15 pm. i'll be presenting a master class on the legendary erroll garner and a solo concert for your enjoyment. this should be a glorious evening with one of the great masters of 20th century jazz (erroll garner), your participation would be greatly appreciated. the bread is $15 at the door and $10 minimum at the table.

you might like to spend some time with my latest internet master class, the walking bassline clinic, which can be viewed anytime for free at:

in other news, my wife hari and i are thrilled to announce the opening of hari nyc - kundalini yoga, meditation and jazz, at 30th and 7th ave. near penn station, late this february (we'll be signing the lease tomorrow). this will be a cooperative, creative space for healing and culture, easily accessible from all parts in and out of town. the center will be offering daily yoga/meditation classes, and regular master classes and performances by yours truly and who knows who/what else (everything!), on a recently purchased 7'4" yamaha grand. more news to come, i hope y'all can join us for what promises to be a high time in the apple:)

blessings and keep swingin!
