Lennie Tristano master class with Dave Frank Sat. 4/2

hola jazzkins, i'm thrilled to tell you that i will be presenting my first master class at our new center, hari nyc, 140 w 30th st., 3rd floor, next saturday night, apr. 2nd, from 8 -9:30 pm. the subject for the inaugural master class will be the master himself, lennie tristano! we'll be studying lennie's group and solo playing via video and audio clips. the price will be $15, please consider joining us for what will be a very cool evening. we have a spectacular 7'4" yamaha grand piano, it's a monster!

thanks to all who participated in our dick hyman master class last week at klavierhaus. dick was incredible, he played magnificently for us, gave us many pearls of wisdom with warmth, humor and generosity, and dick and i played together on two 9 foot steinways. this class will be up on youtube in its entirety shortly, it was one of the great occasions that i was privileged to be a part of, and i'm looking forward to sharing it with you.
