the list is post 1960's

add:

"sugar"
"just the way you are"
"what's going on"
not sure i'd call these "jazz" tunes, but i like:
"my song" - keith jarrett
"feel like makin love" - roberta flack ??
"a song for you" leon russel

to name a few
"how do you keep the music playing?" - michel legrand
windmills of your mind is cool too - although from the 60s, it was re-done my sting and is a very cool tune (michel legrand)
"oops" by steps ahead. a really melodic pop fusion tune similar to tunes like "birdland" just better in my opinion.
nihonjin
"red baron" by billy cobham

i would also add petrucciani works such:

looking up
rachid
home
estate
brazilian suite

....
i need to the top ten standards back up and running!  jazz+, i have about ten years of people voting on the top ten standards and adding to the standards list in my top ten script, but i took it down a few years ago because of spamming.  i think it would be helpful for you, so i'll see what i can about getting it up and running this weekend.
If I'm not back in 24 hours, call the president.

the only tunes in this list that seem like they could also be from "the great american songbook" era are:

1970 - "pure imagination" - anthony newley
1976 - "blackberry winter" - alec wilder

and both are pretty obscure.
and those two tunes are pretty obscure and probably have no right to be on a common standards list!
i'd have to throw in a few more stevie wonder tunes since they work well in a jazz format:
lately
overjoyed
isn't she lovely
