Real name: zach lapidus
Occupation: jazz pianist
Information: i grew up in portland, or and graduated from indiana university's jacobs school of music, where i had the pleasure of studying under the great jazz pianist luke gillespie and master pedagogue david baker. i'll always feel indebted to the great teachers i've had -- jon mclaughlin, steve riihiikoski, and especially joanna hodges, awesome concert pianist and even greater teacher, who taught me how to practice.
i mostly play in the indianapolis and surrounding areas, where i have the pleasure with playing with great musicians who've developed into great friends. i've played with (and thus learned a ton from) guys like frank glover, ralph bowen, derrick gardner, and maurice brown. i love learning new things and meeting other musicians.
my other interests include computer programming and computer music, and i also do live experimental electroacoustic music with programs i've written in supercollider. that's about all there is to know.....
