claro, no digo que no se pueda tocar en c con un instrumento en bb, digo que no es tan obvio, se deben incluir alteraciones "artificiales" para eso, como ha dicho erick; pero pon a un saxo en bb a tocar en a y supongo que tendrá que controlar bastante para salir del apuro. es verdad que no es un ejemplo muy bueno, pero con él quería ilustrar cuánto se alejan de la estructura del pentagrama ciertos instrumentos, sobre todo los de cuerda, y por qué el piano es el "rey de la armonía" (me estoy arrepintiendo de haberle puesto ese nombre, parece de un folleto de publicidad barato).
también hay que tener en cuenta que el piano puede hacer acordes y líneas de bajo, y que la armonía surje cuando  se tocan dos o más notas simultáneas (sino estamos hablanddo de melodía).
