Click Here for CD availability---------------One of the late pianist'S most beloved albums, from 1977 (ORIGINALLY Warner Bros.)  It's the last one he did with Eddie Gomez, and the first with drummer Eliot Zigmund.  There are few jazz records this gorgeous and intimate. Beautifully  engineered by veteran Tommy LiPuma (Diana Krall, George Benson) Evans' piano sparkles and shimmers, and the ideas are fluid and inspired. Several of his best-loved originals, like "B Minor Waltz", are on this record. Rhino's re-release has two previously unreleased tracks -- "Without a Song" (priceless) and another working of Porter's "All of You".  If you only had a choice of one Evans album) this would be one of the better selections.

perfect cd to enjoy a glass of wine on a friday night after a hard weeks work. most songs are slow and you can almost feel the intimate setting. my girlfriend would say it is that kind of jazz that brings you nicely into a deep relaxing sleep... well, for me deep relaxing, but no sleep *ggg*
