i know that mccoy tyner plays in a very distict percussive style.  i was listening to his intro to "wave" on the album supertios, and was wondering if anyone could help me figure it out.

he plays it in c and i'll include a couple audio samples.  i can only fit maybe 10 seconds on a sample so i'll post them in continuation of one another.

thank you

on the first beat every two bars he plays a low c power chord, it's a 5th interval (c g) with his left hand with the pedal on. while that low 5th is still sounding he then leaps up and plays a rootless g7 voicng (f b e) on the upbeats (+) three times, he then lands on a 4th voicing (f bb eb). the right hand is playing fills (~ mostly c- pentatonic type stuff).
keyboard magazine featured interviews and sheet music extracts from some of his songs in the may 2006 issue, if you're interested.
