i recently had a dental appointment and my dentist and i are close friends and he told me his seven year old, paige, has her first violin recitial---the end of the month.

she has been taking lessons and playing for about six months.

david(my dentist) told me of taking her into a music store that had virtually every instrument, including piano, and asked her "if you could play any instrument what would you choose to play"?

she pointed to---- and rushed over to------- "touch the violin"---immediately!

so he purchased her a tiny violin--he brought it out to show me---sooo cute!

as a dentist---he is ace--- and i have yet to even feel a shot of novacaine----a master with his hands----believe me!!!

i told him i recently purchased an electric violin for for my daughter and he asked for the number and he called--

but of course, no 3/4 in that---so he--- being the creative and inventive man that he is---- came up with a great idea----

he searched through "google" and found blueprints on making an "electric violin" and is making her one made of pecan wood, rosewood, etc.

he is sharing with me in this creative project for this adorable little girl.

if i don't have to work and i probably will, i'm going to her recital and he plans to surprise her with her very own electric violin for her birthday next month.

my own father was so artistic and creative----and so i related to this little girl having such a sweet and caring father----as did i----
so some of you "talented with your hands" guys ----just might want to make your own electric violin or make a present of one to someone-----since obviously the plans can be obtained off the net.

just a thought.

hugs, br
