do embrace the categories of winning and losing and don't listen to those who say "it isn't about winning or losing"

yes, it is!!

you will end up with what you settle for

never give negativity a voice, you may have a negative thought but for god's sake don't utter it outloud.

give's it power it wouldn't otherwise have.

i do know this---every musician that has worked with me is better off for it

sound egoistic---not! i am an energy starter--i whirl and change energies and get things done.

so far noone that has worked with me can say they are not better off because of my entry into their life.

i have a gift to see who else is gifted and make them believe it----as they were intended to---
musical relationships often have to end. i'd rather someone hated me and had a win for their music--- than to like me--- and lose.

i'll do whatever i have to do---- to change energy so it doesn't harm the music. i do love it ----more than anything

i just can"t hang around where there is an undercurrent of negativity. i have a responsibility to my own gifts.

i have a great career and will go to europe in 2007 and am thrilled that i'll get to also do my classical music and i have to have lots of translations-----so much work----and so little time to get it done. ohhhhhhhhhhhh, a bowed bass-----sigh!

there are times in our life when we are the "givers" and times when we need to be "given to"

i now need to be "given to" for what i have to accomplish so i only let new people into my life in any major roles----"who add to me without subtracting from who i am"---it's a good rule. try it, you'll like it!

it's  the back and forth exchange of energy and love and peer level humor that makes life wonderful for a singer/musician.

be sure you are having that as you are on your way to a win.

slap the shit out of anyone or anything that puts you down for a nanosecond

don't idolize people who haven't achieved anything---if people want to tell you how to do something in your music, make sure they aren't working dives for fifty bucks----aim high----watch where you take your original material----

keep your musical immune system in tact. beware of the musician's flu---"masochism"-----don't ever give up and if you get depressed----make an action----pick up the phone,  send your music out----

s& m is ok in the bedroom--or anything for that matter---but don't let anyone run roughshod over your daily life---if you do---even if you win-----you're gonna lose.

i'm a lady who sings better now than at twenty and looks better too and that is no accident.

it's called "commitment" ---fifty push ups before i have breakfast in the morning. i love these gifts of mine and i"m takin' care of them and i want you to take care of yours too.

there is noone better than you-----unless you think they are!!

catcha later!
